Staples: A Cookbook of Essentials

Quarantine project to play around with typography and design in Adobe InDesign. Intended as a proof-of-design rather than a complete full cookbook. Recipes belong to Ashton James and may be modifications of published recipes. Images are from the internet and thus may not perfectly match the recipes given. • Simple recipes deserve simple design
• For most of the cooking cycle (checking the pantry/making a grocery list/fetching ingredients) the ingredients themselves matter far more than the required quantities
• In the execution stage, quick glances back at the instructions require clear re-entry points to draw the eye
• Food is beautiful
• Who needs meals other than brunch, dinner, and dessert?
